Tras ser presentada al público, se rumoreó que su salida al mercado estaría prevista para la campaña de navidad de este mismo año, pero nada más lejos. Los mas fieles a Nintendo no tendrán más remedio que esperar a la primavera del año que viene para poder disfrutar de la nueva Wii U.
